Motivating and leading people
The most successful organizations have highly-engaged employees. Creating an engaged workforce requires a systematic approach to managing talent that begins on day one. Through a self-assessment and action-oriented lessons, participants learn practical approaches to:

  • Creating a vision for their team and setting goals;
  • Delegating;
  • Motivating and developing employees; and
  • Delivering performance feedback.

This seminar is for first- and second- line supervisors. The seminars begin at 8:30, with a complimentary breakfast at 8:00, and end at 4:00 daily.

OUR APPROACH
Leaders learn best by doing. We invite participants to bring challenges they are currently facing on the job to the classroom. We then help each participant create an action plan to improve their job performance and follow-up with participants after the class to ensure learning implementation.

Seminar participants will:

  • Learn best practices from the public and private sectors to apply to their jobs;
  • Participate in interactive class discussions and exercises built on best practice research
  • Reinforce class lessons through real-time problem-solving and action-planning;
  • Gain exposure to premier leaders from government and the private sector; and
  • Receive after-class support from Partnership consultants to ensure implementation of class lessons.
